KRL and Rubber
Producers

KRL is developing practical solutions to address major challenges in the rubber sector. A pilot project in Thodupuzha tackled labour shortages and part-time farming by forming dedicated activity groups to revive underused plantations. The initiative involved training new tappers, managing neglected groves, and offering financial aid. Based on its success, KRL plans to expand the programme statewide with Kudumbashree Mission and oil company CSR support, covering 2,400 hectares and strengthening plantation productivity and profitability.
